Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of SellWren ("the Service"). We wrote them in plain language because you should know exactly what you agree to. The short version: free tools are free and as-is; connected features touch only your own shop via the official Etsy API; you own what you publish; and we are never affiliated with Etsy.

01 Acceptance
By accessing or using SellWren you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you connect an Etsy shop, the additional terms in section 4 apply. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
02 The Service
SellWren provides Etsy seller tooling: free guest tools, connected-shop analytics, AI-assisted listing optimization, and related dashboards. Features may evolve over time; material reductions to paid tiers (when launched) will be announced in advance.
Data-source honesty: metrics about OTHER shops are computed from public API fields and are clearly labeled estimates — never statements of fact about those shops' sales or revenue.
03 Free tools
Guest tools are provided as-is, without accounts, and are rate-limited to prevent abuse. We may modify, suspend, or cap them at any time. Nothing you enter into a guest tool is stored.
04 Etsy connection terms
- You connect YOUR OWN shop via Etsy's official OAuth 2.0 flow and the official Etsy API v3, in accordance with Etsy's API Terms of Use and Developer Policy. You authorize only your own shop and can revoke access at any time (in your Etsy account settings or in the Service).
- You must comply with Etsy's own policies for your shop. The Service enforces conservative rate limits and safety controls to protect your shop, but you remain responsible for your shop and listings.
- The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Etsy. "Powered by Etsy API" attribution is preserved wherever Etsy data is shown.
- Etsy may change its API, policies, or fees at any time; such changes may affect connected features and are outside our control.
- Data received via the Etsy API is handled as described in our Privacy Policy — never sold, never shared with other users, deleted when you disconnect.
05 Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or automate bulk extraction from the Service.
- Abuse guest tools (circumvent rate limits, flood requests).
- Attempt to access other users' data or shops.
- Upload or generate unlawful content.
- Use outputs to infringe third-party intellectual property.
- Reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service.
- Use the Service in a way that violates Etsy's policies or puts your shop at risk.
Our IP-screening tools are best-effort aids, not legal advice; you are solely responsible for the listings you create and publish.
06 AI outputs
AI-generated text, images, and suggestions are drafts for your review. You are responsible for reviewing and approving anything you publish. We do not guarantee output accuracy, originality, or fitness for a particular purpose. AI providers may change models and behavior over time, which can affect results.
07 Accounts & security
Accounts require authentication (including two-factor authentication where enabled). Keep credentials private and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account.
08 Intellectual property
We own the Service, its software, branding, and design. You retain all rights to your shop data and the content you create. Outputs generated from your inputs are yours to use, subject to these Terms and applicable law. We claim no ownership over your listings or shop data.
09 Payment terms (not yet launched)
Paid plans, billing cycles, refunds, and taxes will be governed by terms published at launch. Payment card data will be processed by our payment processor and never stored on our servers.
10 Disclaimers & limitation of liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. To the extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or USD 0 for free-tier use). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11 Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your listings, your use of outputs, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of Etsy's policies or applicable law.
12 Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or put Etsy-shop safety, our systems, or other users at risk. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (liability, indemnity, IP) survive.
13 Disputes & governing law
If you have a concern, contact us first — most issues resolve quickly. SellWren is developed and operated by an independent developer. These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of competent jurisdiction for that jurisdiction, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
14 General provisions
- Entire agreement. These Terms (with the Privacy Policy) are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
- Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- No waiver. Not enforcing a provision once does not waive it later.
- Assignment. We may assign these Terms if the Service is transferred to a new owner or operator, with notice to you.
